What if someone doesn’t feel that God has forgiven him or isn’t sure if he is saved, although he has asked Jesus to come into his life?

G od does not want us to be unsure of our salvation or filled with doubts about our eternal destiny. Instead, He wants us to trust His promise that our sins have been forgiven and that we have been adopted into God’s family and will spend eternity with Him. Jesus said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). Don’t trust your feelings—trust only God’s Word. Some have prayed insincerely that Jesus would come into their lives. Perhaps they were coaxed by a friend, or they were looking for an “experience.” But if doubt comes to people who have sincerely believed Christ had saved them, the Bible says, “Examine yourselves to see whether
