his life. One of the Ten Commandments declares, “You shall not murder” (Exodus 20:13). Sin is sin. No matter who we are, the Bible says we all have sinned, and we all deserve God’s judgment. But Jesus came to earth to rescue sinners: the liar and the lame, the murderer and the maimed. He came with the good news of redemption. His desire is that all would repent and call on Him. He wants to pull everyone—including the murderer—from Satan’s clutches. There is no salvation without a Savior—and His name is Jesus. He came to save His people from their sins (Matthew 1:21). If you were trapped in a house on fire, you wouldn’t run from those snatching you from the flames. Don’t resist the voice of the One who is calling your name. Even in the darkest moment, God is willing to shed light into the darkest soul.
