Does God forgive even murderers or others who have committed terrible crimes? Can they go to Heaven?

G od’s amazing love opens the way of salvation to all people who truly repent and put their faith and trust in Christ—even murderers. We see this demonstrated in the transformation of the apostle Paul. Before his conversion, he hated Christians and was responsible for the death of some, as we see in his admission: “When the blood of your martyr Stephen was shed, I stood there giving my approval” (Acts 22:20). Remarkably, when Paul met Christ on the road to Damascus, the Lord forgave him fully and completely, and used him to spread the gospel throughout the Roman Empire.
