Will there be suffering or death in Heaven?

N o, there will be no suffering and death in Heaven. When something is full, nothing can be added— and the Bible says that Heaven is filled with the glory of the Lord. Physical death will come to believers in Jesus Christ (except those living at the time of the rapture), but believ ers are assured that there will be no second death for those who have been redeemed. “He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death” (Revelation 2:11). The Bible says that Jesus suffered the taste of death for everyone, bringing many people to glory, and mak ing salvation perfect through that suffering which leads to joy (Hebrews 2:9–10; 1 Peter 4:13). Had Christ not conquered death on earth, there would be no eternal life in Heaven. But He did conquer death! The Bible says, “Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first
