over evil will prevail in the kingdom of God. John writes, “Perfect love drives out fear” (1 John 4:18). Today, fear stalks the world. Even though the psalm ist said, “In God I have put my trust; I will not fear” (Psalm 56:4 nkjv )—in our frail humanness, fear still creeps in. Jesus knew this and said, “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32). Everything in Heaven is made perfect by God, and His perfect love will conquer all our fears. In Heaven, we are promised unending reverential fellowship with our holy God, who will destroy all evil forever. The Bible says, “In righteousness you will be established . . . Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you” (Isaiah 54:14). I have spent my life preaching good news, and here is some good news: In Heaven “there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” (Revelation 21:4). The heav enly kingdom will be filled with all that is pure. That’s good news!
