just because they waited until the last minute. The only sadness we should feel is that such a person missed out on walking with the Lord—on serving Him, witness ing for Him, enjoying His presence, and living life in obedience to His Lordship. We should do no less than the angels who rejoice when a sinner is received into the fellowship of God’s eternal home, even if in the last mile of the way. It is Jesus who gave His life as “a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28). The first and the last will be welcomed into His presence with the same outcome—forgiveness and eternal life. Who are you praying for who may be clinging to the last moments of earthly life without Christ? May our prayer lists be filled with names, and may we pray diligently that the Holy Spirit would speak to their hearts.
