C ONCEIT

Philippians 2 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

Proverbs 18 11 The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it an un-scalable wall. 12 Before his downfall a man's heart is proud, but humility comes before honor.

Proverbs 26 12 Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

Romans 12 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Proverbs 16 18 Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. 19 Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud.

Isaiah 10 33 See, the Lord, the LORD Almighty, will lop off the boughs with great power. The lofty trees will be felled; the tall ones will be brought low.
